Measures to ensure welding quality include:
1. Human factors are the key focus of galvanized pipe welding control. Due to the lack of necessary post-welding control methods, it is easy to cut corners, which affects quality; at the same time, the special nature of galvanized pipe welding makes it difficult to ensure welding quality. Therefore, prior to project commencement, a technically proficient welder holding the appropriate boiler pressure vessel or equivalent welding certification should be selected. Necessary technical training and instructions should be provided, and on-site welding assessments and approvals should be conducted based on boiler conditions. Pressure vessel welding examination regulations must be followed. Unauthorized modifications are prohibited to ensure relative stability of the welding workforce for pipeline welding.
2. Welding material control: Ensure that purchased welding materials are sourced from reputable channels, accompanied by quality certificates and inspection reports, and comply with process requirements; the acceptance, sorting, and distribution procedures for welding materials must be standardized and complete. Usage: Welding materials must be strictly baked according to process requirements, and the usage of welding materials must not exceed half a day.
3. Welding Machines: Welding machines are tools for welding and must ensure reliable performance and compliance with process requirements; welding machines must be equipped with qualified ammeters and voltmeters to ensure the proper implementation of the welding process. Welding cables should not be excessively long; if longer cables are used, welding parameters must be adjusted accordingly.
4. Welding Process Methods: Strictly adhere to the specialized operating procedures for galvanized pipes. Conduct pre-welding bevel inspections according to the welding process, control welding process parameters and operating methods, inspect the appearance quality post-welding, and perform non-destructive testing as necessary after welding. Control the welding quality of each pass and the quantity of welding consumables.
5. Welding Environment Control: Ensure that the temperature, humidity, and wind speed during welding comply with process requirements. Welding is not permitted under unsuitable conditions.
