Last month, we successfully secured an order for galvanized seamless pipe with a new client from Panama. The customer is a well-established building materials distributor in the region, primarily supplying pipe products for local construction projects.
At the end of July, the customer sent an inquiry for galvanized seamless pipes, specifying that the products must comply with the GB/T8163 standard. As a key Chinese standard for seamless steel pipes, GB/T8163 sets strict requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality. The galvanization process significantly enhances the pipes’ corrosion resistance, effectively extending their service life in humid construction environments—perfectly aligning with the customer’s dual demand for quality and practicality.
Upon receiving the inquiry, we immediately contacted the client and carefully reviewed all key details, including product specifications, quantity, and zinc coating thickness. From confirming precise measurements such as diameter and wall thickness to explaining galvanizing techniques, we provided detailed feedback to ensure no miscommunication. Our sales manager, Frank, promptly prepared the quotation and responded in a timely manner with additional product details and technical insights. The customer highly appreciated our quick response and professional proposal and began discussing contract terms and delivery schedule on the same day.
On August 1, after receiving the deposit, we prioritized the order for production. The entire process—from contract signing to shipment—took only about 15 days, significantly faster than the industry average of 25–30 days. This efficiency fully supports the customer’s need for quick restocking to maintain construction timelines.
