Take a look at cold rolled steel sheets

Cold rolled sheet is a new type of product that is further cold pressed and processed by hot rolled sheet. Because it has undergone many cold rolling processes, its surface quality is even better than hot rolled sheet. After heat treatment, its mechanical properties have also been significantly improved.
According to the different requirements of each production enterprise, cold rolled plate is often divided into several levels. Cold rolled sheets is delivered in coils or flat sheets, and its thickness is usually expressed in millimeters. In terms of width, they are generally available in 1000 mm and 1250 mm sizes, while the lengths are usually 2000 mm and 2500 mm. These cold rolled sheets not only have excellent forming properties and good surface quality, but also excel in corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance and aesthetics. As a result, they are widely used in automotive, construction, home appliances, industrial equipment and other fields.

Grades of common cold rolled sheet

The commonly used grades are:

Q195, Q215, Q235, 08AL, SPCC, SPCD, SPCE, SPCEN, ST12, ST13, ST14, ST15, ST16, DC01, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC06 and so on;

ST12:Indicated as the most common steel grade, with Q195, SPCC, DC01 grade material is basically the same;

ST13/14:Indicated for stamping grade steel number, and 08AL, SPCD, DC03/04 grade material is basically the same;

ST15/16:Indicated as stamping grade steel number, and 08AL, SPCE, SPCEN, DC05/06 grade material is basically the same.

Japan JIS standard material meaning

What do SPCCT and SPCD stand for?
SPCCT means cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip with guaranteed tensile strength under the Japanese JIS standard, while SPCD means cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip for stamping under the Japanese JIS standard, and its Chinese counterpart is 08AL (13237) high quality carbon structural steel.
In addition, regarding the tempering code of cold rolled carbon steel sheet and strip, the annealed condition is A, standard tempering is S, 1/8 hardness is 8, 1/4 hardness is 4, 1/2 hardness is 2, and full hardness is 1. Surface finish code is D for non-glossy finish, and B for bright finish, e.g., SPCC-SD denotes cold rolled carbon steel sheet for general use with standard tempering and non-glossy finish; SPCCT-SB denotes standard tempered, bright finish cold rolled carbon steel sheet; and SPCCT-SB denotes standard tempered, bright finish cold rolled carbon steel sheet for general use with standard tempering and non-glossy finish. Standard tempering, bright processing, cold rolled carbon sheet required to ensure the mechanical properties; SPCC-1D is expressed as hard, non-gloss finish rolled cold rolled carbon steel sheet.

Mechanical structural steel grade is expressed as follows: S + carbon content + letter code (C, CK), of which the carbon content with the median value * 100, the letter C means carbon, the letter K means carburized steel.

China GB standard material meaning
Basically divided into: Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255, Q275, etc. Q indicates that the yield point of steel "yield" the first letter of the word hanyu pinyin, 195, 215, etc. indicates that the yield point of the value of the chemical composition from the points, low carbon steel grade: Q195, Q215, Q235, Q255, Q275 grade, the greater the carbon content, the higher the manganese content, the more stable its plasticity.
