EHONG STEEL –STAINLESS STEEL PIPE

Stainless steel pipes are hollow, elongated cylindrical steel products. Stainless steel itself is a metal material with excellent corrosion resistance, typically containing elements such as iron, chromium, and nickel.
Its characteristics and advantages:
First, superior corrosion resistance — Stainless steel pipes exhibit exceptional resistance to corrosion, capable of withstanding attack from most chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and salts. This ensures long-term stable performance in corrosive environments.

High-temperature resistance: Stainless steel pipes exhibit excellent high-temperature tolerance, maintaining integrity during prolonged use in scorching conditions. They are suitable for applications like high-temperature conveyance pipelines and boiler piping.
Mechanical Properties: Possessing high mechanical strength and hardness, they can withstand significant pressure and tensile forces, making them suitable for scenarios demanding robust mechanical performance.

Hygienic Properties: Stainless steel pipes feature smooth surfaces that facilitate easy cleaning and resist bacterial growth, meeting hygiene standards. This makes them commonly used in food processing, pharmaceuticals, and medical fields.

Appearance: Surface treatments yield varied finishes and colors, meeting aesthetic demands in high-decorative applications.

Workability: Easily formed into diverse shapes and dimensions through cold drawing, cold rolling, hot rolling, and other processes to fulfill various requirements.

Environmentally friendly, stainless steel pipes are recyclable and do not release harmful substances during production or use.

Application Scenarios:
1. Chemical Industry: Stainless steel pipes are widely used in chemical processing for transporting various chemical media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. Their excellent corrosion resistance enables them to withstand chemical erosion, making them ideal for chemical pipelines, reactors, storage tanks, and related equipment.

2. Oil and Gas Industry: Stainless steel pipes play a crucial role in oil and gas extraction and transportation, conveying crude oil, natural gas, and other media. Their corrosion resistance and ability to withstand harsh conditions like high pressure and temperature make them widely adopted in oil pipelines and refinery equipment.

3. Marine Engineering: In marine environments, salt spray corrosion severely affects metal materials. Stainless steel's superior corrosion resistance makes it widely used in marine engineering for seawater desalination equipment, offshore platform structures, and ship piping systems.

4. Food Processing: Stainless steel pipes are widely adopted in the food processing industry due to their hygienic properties and corrosion resistance. They are used for conveying, storing, and transporting food ingredients, semi-finished products, and finished goods such as milk, juice, and beer.

5. Architectural Decoration: Stainless steel pipes offer an aesthetically pleasing appearance, durability, and ease of cleaning, making them crucial in architectural decoration. They are commonly used for interior and exterior finishes, handrails, balustrades, staircases, doors, and windows.

6. Medical Devices: Stainless steel pipes are hygienic, non-toxic, and resistant to rust, leading to their extensive use in medical device manufacturing. Applications include IV tubing, surgical instruments, and medical gas delivery pipelines.

Manufacturing Steps:
First, prepare materials using stainless steel plates or billets. These raw materials undergo quality inspection and screening to ensure compliance with production requirements. Next comes cutting, where stainless steel plates or billets are cut to specified dimensions and lengths using methods like shearing, flame cutting, or plasma cutting.

Bending and forming follow, where the cut plates or billets undergo bending, stamping, or shaping to achieve the desired tube blank dimensions. Welding then joins the tube ends using techniques like resistance welding, TIG welding, or MIG welding. Note that temperature and speed must be carefully controlled during welding to prevent defects.
Next comes cold drawing or hot rolling. This step adjusts the wall thickness and diameter of the welded tube blank while enhancing the tube's mechanical properties and surface quality. Surface treatment follows, where the finished stainless steel tube undergoes acid washing, polishing, or sandblasting to improve appearance and corrosion resistance.
Finally, quality inspection and packaging occur. Finished stainless steel pipes undergo quality checks, including visual inspection, chemical composition analysis, and mechanical property testing. Upon passing inspection, they are packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
