Cold-rolled coil, commonly known as cold rolled sheet, is produced by further cold-rolling ordinary carbon hot-rolled steel strip into steel plates less than 4mm thick. Those delivered in sheets are called steel plates, also known as box plates or flat plates; those delivered in long coils are called steel strips, also known as coil plates. Rolled at ambient temperatures, cold-rolled coils avoid iron oxide formation. Compared to hot-rolled coils, they exhibit significantly superior surface quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy. 1) Cold-Rolled Carbon Structural Steel Thin Plates (GB710-88)

Similar to cold-rolled ordinary thin plates, cold-rolled high-quality carbon structural steel thin plates are the most widely used thin plate steel in cold-rolled products. They are manufactured from carbon structural steel through cold rolling into plates with thicknesses exceeding 4mm.

Cold-rolled high-quality carbon steel sheets for deep drawing are classified by surface quality into three grades: Special High-Grade Finished Surface (I), High-Grade Finished Surface (II), and Higher-Grade Finished Surface (III). Based on the complexity of stamped drawn parts, they are further categorized into three levels: most complex parts (ZF), highly complex parts (HF), and complex parts (F).

Steel strip is a narrow, elongated steel plate manufactured to meet the needs of various industrial sectors. Also known as strip steel, its width generally falls below 300 mm, though economic development has eliminated width restrictions.
