Even if welded pipes undergo meticulous finishing, ultrasonic testing can reveal discontinuities in the material structure.

 

Metallographic analysis represents the most scientific identification method. By preparing metallographic specimens from samples and examining their microstructure under a microscope, seamless pipes exhibit uniformly consistent microstructures, whereas welded pipes display distinct differences in weld structure, heat-affected zones, and base metal regions.

Reputable manufacturers provide comprehensive product quality documentation, including material certificates, production process records, and inspection reports.
